About Our Files
Our files on client matters all are the property of the Fisher Law Office. It is our practice not to keep executed documents in our files. It is our policy not to retain client property in our files or in our office at all, and never after conclusion of a client matter. Our files are periodically retired to off-site storage with limited availability, and after a period of time all of our files are destroyed. Our file retention program includes file destruction 10 years after closing. Notice of such destruction may not be given as to closed files, or to other than recent active clients. If you have any concerns about our files, please discuss them with us during or promptly after the conclusion of the matter.
For Client Protection
We have made arrangements with other attorneys we respect to handle our cases for us in the event of our absence or other unavailability. We know that you, as we, will take comfort in the fact that these arrangements have been made.
